New aPad called SmartPad HDMI Out spotted

Last week I heard of a new aPad RK2808 model with HDMI was in the works but its now real and already available on Taobao, marked as Model: CL-ARMM1a.

The news on this model branded SmartPad are:

HDMI 720P Output

YPbPr TV-Out

TV-Out

4000mAh and hopefully 10 hours browsing and 4 hours video

Loud speaker om back (now you can hear your aPad)

New thicker plastic shell

Other than that is same old aPad powered by same processor and RAM. The SmartPad is sold on Taobao for around 1000RMB (147USD).

I tried the irobot apad android 2.1 at the store and the one that they used as a sample was working fine, so i brought one home and played for a few minutes on Yahoo site and it froze on me. I restarted it and againt after a few minutes it froze. This morning I desided to try it one more time before I return it, it froze again even i was using the calculator app. I noticed that there’s a problem on the keybroad, too. I will probably wait until they have a better one.
